To Change or Not To Change?
Can People Change?
Change can also refer to an individual’s own mission to become different. An individual’s change can happen quickly, gradually, or over a long-term period of time. It may be a conscious decision by a person to change, or be a personality change only perceivable by others who compare the two distinctive personalities, one past and one present. Changes can also be made for the positive or negative. Most people won’t perceive that they are “changing” for the worse—they may believe in their minds they are improving on certain individual qualities, all the while losing sight of their overall persona. Perhaps they have abandoned their previously upheld values or have altered their own perceptions of happiness and morality.
Knowing the definition of change, as well as the human understanding of change, may enlighten you as you start to make changes in your own life. What kinds of changes do you believe are necessary? First decide why you believe a change is called for. Do you wish to change something about yourself or do others remark to you that you should change? Are you judging yourself from your own perspective or the feelings and expressions of others? Do you think some change might be necessary to get from where you are now to where you want to be because what you are currently doing isn’t working or isn’t as effective as it used to be? If you perceive that your current behavior is self-destructive and ultimately leaves you unhappy then it may well be a time to change. Even so, it’s wise to first consider what qualities are helpful and what qualities can be unhealthy.
The Pros and Cons of Change
Some analysts have stated that when you consider “change”, whether in the context of society or individual improvement, that there are a few factors to consider—the pros and cons of change, as it were. The pros of change are indeed powerful and too many to list them all here. Change can correct a sense of injustice. It can instill faith and hope in humanity and improve human relationships. It can lead to better efficiency in production and lifestyle. At best, change could even save the lives of many people.
What are the cons of change, if there are any? There are definitely some negative consequences that could result from change. You never know, in most cases, exactly what will happen until you try it. When you enter into change, you must believe it will produce the desired results, or why change? What got you to where you are today probably isn’t going to take you to where you want to be without some degree of change. We all grow as we get older. We experience new things and learn new things that help us to make changes accordingly.
Don’t be afraid to change just because you don’t know how the change will affect things. I heard it said, if you continually do things the same way you will always get what you have gotten. Explore what might be. Ask yourself, what’s the worst thing that can happen? In most cases, it will be something desired and something good. You may not do it perfect the first time, but you will get better each time you do it. Try changing something that you have been putting off and experience the results for yourself. Enjoy!

Utilize Effective and Efficient Behavior when traveling
I personally don’t view time on a plane as fun. Even if I’m traveling somewhere for vacation, it isn’t part of the vacation, in my opinion. There are a number of things you can do to maximize your time on a plane (or on a bus, train, etc.). If you are like me, I have a number of magazines that I enjoy reading; however, I typically don’t have time to read them when I’m at home. So I put them in a file and save them for a travel trip. I can relax and enjoy reading them during that time when I’m traveling. If I want to catch up on work activities, which is usually what I do, I list all the most pressing and important things I could get done that would have a high payoff when they are completed. Then I list things that I have been putting off doing and would like to get done. I prioritize them and determine how much travel time I have (sitting at the airport and on the plane for example). Then I determine approximately how much time each activity will take to complete. I always seem to have more to do than I will have time for but that is okay. I make sure I take all the necessary components I might need to complete each activity starting with the ones at the top. I move my way down the list and get done however much I can get done. I have yet to ever finish everything on my list, but making progress on the most important things that will impact you achieving your goals is always good. It is a great feeling for me to have uninterrupted time to accomplish things that need to get done. If you like this notion, you may want to try it yourself and see if you feel the same way I do after your travels. You might be amazed at how effective you are when you utilize this time a little more efficiently.

Eliminate No Longer Acceptable Things from Your Life
Many of us say we’re going to make changes to eliminate the things we don‘t like about our life, but few us actually commit to improving the quality of our life. We stay in a job we don’t like and in a relationship that does not serve us, and blame our circumstances on the “hand” we’ve been dealt in life. If you have ever felt like this – it’s time to get a does of reality. Whether you’re sick of your financial situation, your health or destructive relationships, you have the power to eliminate the “no longer acceptables” in your life and create the life you want and deserve.
Give up the excuses because they are just plain cop-outs. Creating the life you want simply begins with a choice – you choose to eliminate the “no longer acceptables” in your life. Changing your life circumstances is that easy. You choose your desired reality instead of your current reality, and commit to doing whatever it takes in order to create it.
Your life can change the very instant you change your thoughts – right here, right now.
Grab a pen and a piece of paper. Make a list of 10 things you want to change in your life. Your list can consist of anything you are unhappy with or downright sick of.

Benefits of Accountability Coaching
Accountability coaching focuses intensely on the very things that are blocking you from achieving goals, and unlike traditional coaching, holds you accountable for every action or inaction. The habits and perceptions that have been holding you back will no longer stop/contain you once you are made aware of them. When you know what is holding you back, you can dissolve the ties that bind you and achieve goals in the timeframe you set.
However, this process does require you to think outside the box and break free of the habits and perceptions that have created your current reality. The very things that have created your current reality are not the things that will get you where you want to be.

Receive powerful testimonials and successes from clients
Here’s an idea on obtaining what you want as it relates to testimonials or success stories from clients. You always want to make it as easy as possible for people to provide you with what you want or need. This helps them from having to take the time to do something for you and it gets you what you want and in the words that you would like. Let’s say you would like to obtain more testimonials or endorsements from clients about your services. One very effective way is to write several based on what you know of the client. Send them to the client and ask them which one they prefer or if they prefer to modify any of them, and then send them back to you. This makes it very easy for them to complete this request quickly and you get exactly what you want. You can also choose to ask people a set number of questions. Based on their responses, you can write one testimonial and send it to them for their approval. Either way works very effectively and is efficient.
Become a Master of Change
For most of us, the thought of change can send us into a panic attack. For some of us, we might fear change because it disrupts our sense of security and consistency by challenging our perceptions. As much as we crave stability and security, change is an inevitable part of life and we can either choose to embrace it or resist it.
Life is really a series of changes and each change is a challenge. It’s an opportunity for us to learn – to grow – to expand. Some changes might be small while others may be large, but they each bring the opportunity to learn something new about yourself and the world around you. Change actually becomes much easier to handle because when you come out the other side, you gain valuable skills and experiences that you can apply to the rest of your life. Instead of being fearful, you may even have fun being more open to change because you know your life will be that much better.
Here’s how you become a master of change:
Inaction and Resistance Carries Bigger Consequences
Choosing inaction or resistance to change carries bigger consequences than choosing to face the change head-on in the first place. You are an ever changing person in an ever changing world and resistance just adds fear and frustration to every situation. Learn to be open to creating new and exciting adventures that change will bring.
Focus on the Desired End Result
Worrying about what might happen will not help you deal with what’s at hand. Focus on where you want to be when the change is complete. You want to keep your desired end result in mind at all times, and only think about what you want to happen not what you don’t want to happen. What got you to where you are today isn’t what will take you where you want to be.
Rationalize Your Fear
Fear is usually the result of our mind creating hypothetical dramas that have no base in reality. You can just suck it up, and as Nike says, “Just Do It.” You will quickly discover that the experience of change wasn’t worth all that anxiety over the unknown. Each time you rationalize the fear, you will have greater courage to “Just Do It” in the future.
Break it into Manageable Pieces
For major changes, break it down into smaller manageable pieces. It’s much easier to identify a solution when you can apply a strategy to deal with each step.

Why take the whole year to earn it?
Why take the whole year to earn it? Why take the whole day to complete it?
Imagine making your desired amount of money in less time than it took you to make what you made last year, while maintaining or improving your overall quality of life. Wouldn’t that be a great feeling? It is certainly possible. By becoming as effective and efficient as possible, this can become a reality for you. You are laser focused on your highest payoff activities that produce these results. If you only have time to get the top three things done out of six, you are doing the most important that puts you in the highest probable position to achieve all your goals in the timeframe you want. You delegate, delay or drop all those activities that aren’t the highest payoff. Remember if you have to do these now because you can’t afford to have team members yet, and you’ve delayed it long enough, and it can’t be dropped, it falls into the 20% of your day when you do activities that aren’t your highest payoff. Imagine taking 10 months instead of 12 months to achieve your goals? Just because that is the way others might do it or you have done it in the past, doesn’t mean that is the way you have to do it going forward. Let’s create that reality and enjoy that feeling sooner rather than later.

5 Tips to Kick Your “Time-Wasters” Habits
The bottom line is that anyone who has a demanding career or runs their own business has to practice excellent time management, effective delegation and learning to say the word, “No.” It’s just not possible to maintain the simple life while achieving a high level of success. And with today’s technology, it’s harder to hide when you need a break. Your email inbox is dinging, your cell phone is ringing and your spouse is trying to call you on the car phone because your cell line is busy. It is at this point that you have to filter the input so you can begin to regain control over your life. As good as you think you may be with your time management; there are always “time-wasters” that can be eliminated from your daily life. Let’s review some practical tips:
Time-Wasters Tip #1
Regarding your work email – how much time do you spend typing and replying to emails each day? More than an hour? Two? Four or more? Now, ask yourself how much of your time is spent on essential emails? It is estimated that only 10% to 20% of emails that most people get at work each day require their attention and are essential to their job. Even if you estimate that 50% of the emails you receive are considered essential that stills leaves 50% that are time-wasters.
Time-Wasters Tip #2
Another popular time-waster is watching TV. This is one of the hardest habits to break – but there is simply much more effective ways to spend your time. Think about things that you would prefer to do during the time that you would normally spend watching TV.
Time-Wasters Tip #3
Reduce time-wasters by creating a To-Do List for the following day the night before. Writing a To-Do List before you go to sleep every night will help your mind run through the day and organize it.
Time-Wasters Tip #4
If you have an assistant at work, evaluate if there are additional tasks you can delegate to them.
If you are self-employed, find an assistant! The goal is to minimize and reduce the time-wasters that are demanding your attention, but not delivering big payoffs.
Time-Wasters Tip #5
Last, but not least you have to learn to say “No.”
The goal is to slow down and be focused on the highest pay-off activities that will produce the results you desire in the timeframe you want – personally and professionally. The goal is not to figure out how to move faster. It’s impossible to create more hours in the day and it’s simply not healthy to run at full tilt constantly. Learn how to eliminate the time-wasters in your life to improve your quality of life and success.
The Power of your Conviction
Conviction is defined as that which you are convinced to be true (even if you can’t physically see it). You can imagine achieving your goals in your mind and feel it in your gut. You have absolute resolve that what you are doing is going to work and places you on the path to even greater success. Conviction means you keep going because you can see the end results before actually manifesting them. How much conviction do you have for what you do, in your goals, and in yourself? What has to happen for you to manifest more conviction to go for what you truly want in life?
6 Tips To Thrive In A Down Economy
So the market has gone from tough to tougher. What are you going to do, quit? No way! Here are six tips that can help business people survive, even thrive, in the current economic downturn.
Tip #1. Quit Whining.
Tip #2. Get In Touch.
One of the first things to happen in a tough market is that most bad and many of the mediocre players give up. Don’t let your business relationships wonder if that’s where you fit in. Call everyone you have ever done business with or would like to do business with and let them know you are still around. Tell them you’re ready, willing and able to serve them. Be honest about the tough times and give them the opportunity to help you with some business or a referral or two or three.
Tip #3. Get Back To Work.
A bad market is a great excuse to be lazy. Don’t get caught in the ‘nobody’s buying anything so why bother’ syndrome. Dust off the good work habits. Get in early, stay late, and maybe even put in a half day on your usual day or days off. Persistence always pays big dividends.
Tip #4. Sharpen Your Skills.
When you can least afford to is often the best and most important time to invest in yourself. Remember, it is the bad and mediocre who quit in tough times. Sharpen your skills. Improve your game.
Tip #5. Look For Opportunities.
The toughest times always have carried with them the greatest opportunities. It can be difficult to see opportunities while you’re being bombarded with negative press, negative feedback, and negative thoughts. But set aside the negative and look for the opportunities. They do exist and they can be yours.
Tip #6. Don’t Go Overboard. Have Some Fun.
This is the easiest advice to follow. Work hard, but remember that tougher times usually cause higher stress levels. Keep up your exercise plan, eat well, enjoy the beautiful place we live in, and have some fun. Not having fun will not make a bad market go away. A great philosopher once said, “Fun is the only reality,” and there’s a lot of truth to that.
Choose to be the one who excels during times when the rest are making excuses and doing little to nothing. Choose to get ahead and be even more successful than you thought possible.
Winston Churchill said, “when you’re going through hell, keep going.”
