However, it’s also imperative to do your due diligence in weeding out the toxic team members. It will serve you and your business best to eliminate team members that pull the energy of the team down. Team members who aren’t adding value to your business should be replaced with dedicated and energetic members.

Action Step
Evaluate your compensation and benefits package for your team members. If they are virtual assistants or temporary help, think of ways you could create an incentive-based promotion (even if it’s seasonal or temporary). In addition, you could ask them what they most need and see if there is a way for you to provide it.

Increase Business Success with Market Research

Regardless of your industry, performing market research is important in offering the right products. What’s the first thing most modern-day shoppers do when they’re in the mood to make a purchase? They perform an internet search on the product or service to do some comparison shopping. You can use this to your advantage to identify what your clients are after but just aren’t able to get anywhere else.

Given the popularity of online services, it is important to be sure your business has an online presence so when potential clients search for services like yours, they can find you. Remember, the key is to fill the gap and focus on creating a stellar client-centered business.

If you’re focused on client satisfaction, then all of your clients will likely become lifetime clients and become a free source of marketing when they refer their friends, family, coworkers, and everyone they know to you. Continue to be open to making changes that can enhance being client-centered and you will improve the opportunity to be successful. When you run a client centered business, you will run a business set up for success.

Focus on Goals and Milestones

Control: Relies on self-reference – a sense of strategic intent and purpose embedded in the minds of managers and employees throughout the organization that guides their choices on a daily basis in a process that is often difficult to measure and monitor from above. This empowers managers and employees to think strategically about their actions and resulting outcomes.

Action Step: Have clear and focused goals and milestones.
Once you’ve written your mission statement, you have the big picture. From there, create smaller milestones or goals that are very focused and specific. Be sure they include target dates. Your entire team should be on the same page in order to be in the highest probability position to achieve all the goals.
