Many of us say we’re going to make changes to eliminate the things we don‘t like about our life, but few of us actually commit to improving the quality of our life. If you have ever felt like this – it’s time to get a dose of reality.

Give up the excuses because they are just plain cop-outs. Creating the life you want simply begins with a choice. Eliminating those things you find yourself being most unhappy with will allow so much more peace and emotional space. You will feel like a new person when you finally eliminate the things that have been holding you back from what you really want.
Time-wasters do nothing but impede or delay the ideal life you are committed to creating. The good news is they are simple to eliminate. They simply become something you used to do when you were okay with staying where you were. The difference now is that you are ready to move on and create your ideal life.

By applying these action-able, results-producing strategies you can:

Delegation 101 – Grow Your Business Even Faster

If you aren’t delegating, you are likely SEVERELY limiting the growth of your business. (probably more than you realize!)  You can grow your business and increase profits FASTER if you know how to delegate responsibilities. — Tony Alessandra

Tony Alessandra’s Platinum Rules for Success graciously published my article on Delegation for their clients, so I thought I’d share it with you also and hope that you get value from it. You can read it now by going to https://assessments24x7.com/blog/delegation-101/

Delegation 101 – Grow Your Business Even Faster

One important key to growing your business is to delegate the time-consuming, non-income driving tasks to someone else.  Does Jennifer Lopez concoct her own perfume or create sketches for her fashion line?  No, she delegates to her team.  All she is obligated to do is attach her face to the finished product.  She does little work, yet reaps the rewards of residual income.

This is the ultimate example of expanding your mindset to think inventively, creatively to create passive income, yet investing little time.  Mastering delegation is one of the key components to growing your business.  Effective delegating is all about hiring others to take responsibility for the tasks that aren’t worth your time (e.g. editing photos, coding a website, writing landing pages) or are incredibly easy to do (e.g. answering emails, bookkeeping).  This frees up your valuable time to take on the income-driving tasks like getting more clients, conducting live events, brain-storming on new product ideas.

Making the transition from where you are to where you want to be starts with thinking outside the box.  Remember, the key is to leverage your business, so it is not dependent on your daily attention.  Create residual income streams and delegate non-income driving tasks to a virtual assistant or employee.  Follow these tips and your business will grow beyond your wildest dreams.

To help you be even more effective and efficient so you can achieve your goals at an accelerated rate, you can delegate more to your team members than you have or might think possible. Stop holding on to things that can be done by someone else and do only those activities that you can do and can’t be done by anyone else. Stop doing revenue generation / business development avoidance activities and delegate more!  Successful people are excellent delegators so work at being an even better delegator and be even more successful.

The Strategic Thinking Model™ – Free Download Page

InfoGraphic-StrategicThinking-Download-SampleThe time to implement a strategy is now!

The Leaders role in strategy making: We all have a voice in strategy-making, as well as greater latitude to respond opportunistically to developing conditions. In the past, strategic thinking was generally reserved to closed-door meetings with upper management. This method employs feedback with lower-level management, who has direct contact with employees and clients.

Strategy making: Sees strategy and change as inescapably linked and assumes that finding new strategic options and implementing them successfully is harder and more important than evaluating them. This rule puts ideas into action and places the importance of the application rather than extensive and time-consuming evaluation before action. Change is happening all the time, so the time to implement the strategy is now – not later – so you can capitalize on the benefits.

Applying Strategic Thinking practices into your business and they will accelerate your success by allowing a crystal clear focus to drive daily tasks – for you and your team. To download a complimentary copy of a strategic thinking model, go to

So Many Podcasts to Choose from These Days…. Which One Will Help You the Most?

There are so many Podcasts today that you can listen to. Your time is valuable, so how do you choose the right ones for you that will help you accelerate our results – professionally and personally?

Personally, because my time is valuable, I look for podcasts that can give me great information in the shortest amount of time possible. There are those who like to listen to all the interviews that many podcasters do; however, I find that most of those take forever to get to the point of something meaningful. To me, most of the interview podcast shows are like listening to a reality show that is not doing much for me other than maybe “brainless activity.”

Great Article on The Art of Delegation by Tony Alessandra

Do you find yourself with a never-ending to-do list? Are you left wondering how you will get it all done on time? With Tony’s helpful guidance in the article below, you should be able to knock a few items off your “to do” list immediately!

Tony says:

The ability to delegate sets leaders apart from followers. That is because many people find it difficult to give up control. However, delegating duties and responsibilities is essential in today’s downsized organizations. The following key points will help you master the art of delegation.

Find the right person for the project. Do not assign the project to just any warm body. That is fine if any outcome is acceptable. If you want the job done right, however, you must find the right person for the job. If none exists, find the most capable person and train him/ her well.

Delegate authority and accountability. The worst thing you can do is delegate a task and then tie a person’s hands. If you’ve picked the right person or trained someone well, you must then give that person authority, so the job can be done without your supervision. In addition, you should make the person accountable for the quality of the work performed.

Make the task perfectly clear. Carefully explain the nature of the project to the person you are giving responsibility. This may be done verbally or in writing, depending on the complexity of the task. The newer and more complex the task, the more questions the person you are giving responsibility will have. Answer all questions promptly and thoroughly.

Agree on a deadline. When the person to whom you are delegating fully understands your expectations, both of you are in a position to determine a mutually acceptable deadline.

Review and coach. There is a learning curve associated with any new activity. During this time, you should periodically review the other person’s progress and offer additional coaching if needed.

Lay the groundwork for more delegation. Once you get your feet wet, you will find more things that can be done by others to free up your time. Begin training people to assist you in more operations and you will find yourself with more time to do what you do best.

Dr. Tony Alessandra has a street-wise, college-smart perspective on business, having been raised in the housing projects of NYC to eventually realizing success as a graduate professor of marketing, internet entrepreneur, business author, and hall-of-fame keynote speaker. He earned a BBA from Notre Dame, a MBA from the Univ. of Connecticut and his PhD in marketing from Georgia State University (1976). Known as “Dr. Tony” he’s authored 30+ books and 100+ audio/video programs.
